Celebrating the life of Everett Wilson Berkley, Jr.

Everett Wilson Berkley, Jr. 61, of King George, VA entered into eternal rest on November 9, 2021 at Mary Washington Hospital, Fredericksburg, VA.

Everett was born on August 4, 1960 to the late Everett W. Berkley, Sr. and Mildred E. Berkley.

Everett accepted Christ at an early age at St. Paul’s Baptist Church, King William, VA. Later in life Everett was affiliated with Refuge Temple, King William, VA.

Everett was a 1978 graduate of King William High School. He retired with 35 years of Federal Government Service at Quantico Marine Corps Base in Quantico, VA. Everett took great pride in his work as a building inspector and formed lasting bonds and friendships.

Everett enjoyed playing tennis, fishing, coaching the youth in Little League Sports and Salsa dancing. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Everett was a member of the Prince Hall Masons Masonic Lodge #314 of King George, VA.

Everett was preceded in death by his daughter, Brittney L. Berkley; father, Everett W. Berkley, Sr. and brother, Quinton Berkley. He leaves to cherish many loving memories; his wife of 35 years, Delphine R. Berkley; a son, Andrew C. Berkley (Melanie) of McKinney, TX; mother, Mildred E. Berkley of King William, VA; two Grandsons, Finn E. Berkley and Asher W. Berkley of McKinney, TX; mother-in-law, Alberta Baylor of King George, VA; two brothers, Keith Berkeley (Shirrelle) of Chesterfield, VA, and Donald Berkeley of Mechanicsville, VA; one Sister, Terry Mealey (Curtis) of Richmond, VA; two uncles, Clarence Moore (Viola) of Henrico, VA and Carl Moore (Rhonda) of King William, VA; two aunts, Annie Garrison of Caroline, VA;  and Carlessia Lemon of King William, VA as well a beloved host of nieces and nephews.

A viewing will take place from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at the STORKE FUNERAL HOME, 11089 James Madison Pkwy, King George, VA 22485. A home going celebration will begin at 12:00PM. Interment will follow at the Historyland Memorial Park, King George, VA.
