Dr. Manuel Fontanilla, 83 of Severna Park, Maryland passed away Monday, November 15, 2021 in the Loch Raven VA Medical Center, during a loving embrace by both his daughters.

He spent his life as a well-respected doctor, devoted to the care of his patients. He loved to give back to communities through his talent and skill of being a physician by volunteering for many medical missions overseas.

He was a very proud American and Army officer, serving in the Vietnam War as a surgeon. He loved traveling, music, spending time with his family and is especially known for his great sense of humor, loving to make people laugh. He is survived by his daughters, Mary and Kimberly; his siblings Erlinda, Clarita, Ricardo and Romeo; his grandchildren Christina, Ashley, Alec, Nicholas, Megan and Samantha; step grandchildren Mackenzie and Madison and great grandchildren Amelia and Jonathan. He is preceded in death by his ex-wife, Elizabeth; and his grandson Mitchell. Burial services will take place in Arlington National Cemetery, at a date to be announced. www.storkefuneralhome.com
