A graveside service with Army Honors will take place at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
Henry “Hank” H Hanrahan, III, 76, of King George, passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2024. Son to Henry H Hanrahan, Jr and Louise Hatfield Hanrahan, Hank was born in Portsmouth, VA and grew up alongside his brother Douglas Hanrahan. Hank rose to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel with the United States Army and retired after 25 years of service. Following this military service, Hank served at Fort APHILL as Director of DPTMS, retiring from that position after 15 years.
Hank was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife of 13 years Rexine Elaine Brauker Hanrahan; daughters Joanne Hollenbach and Shannon Barnes; step-children Trent Kiersey, Michelle Waters, Chad Kiersey; five grandchildren; 8 step-grandchildren; and brother Douglas (Jeanne).
