William (Bill) Harold Houchin, 90, of King George passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2024.  Son to the late William Nicholas Houchin and Bertha Norris Houchin, Bill lived his entire life in King George County.  After serving his country in the Air Force, Bill went on to work 40 years as a General Contractor.  Additionally, he owned and operated F-5-W-Stables and was the past president of both the Virginia State Appaloosa Horse Club and the Shenandoah-Blue Ridge Appaloosa Association.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife Frances Isabell Kulp Houchin.  Survivors include girlfriend Virginia Lee Jenkins; his children Wilma Houchin Ward (Charles), Wanda Carol Houchin, William Nicholas Houchin II (Georganne), Wallace Thomas Houchin (Sally); grandchildren Charles Ward, Jr. (Myriam), David Ward (Maureen), Roxanne Houchin, William Nicholas Houchin, III (Jennifer), Ian Houchin (Angeli); and great-grandchildren Carlos Ward, Kaylee Ward, Quinn Ward, Avery Ward, Olivia Ward, Nathaniel Ward, William Nicholas Houchin IV, Gracie Houchin, Peyton Houchin, Liam Hughes, Ruby Hughes, Isabella Houchin.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 6p-8p, Wednesday July 3 at Storke Funeral Home, King George Chapel.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org).
