Audrey Borkey Torrence
July 16, 1923 - November 4, 2023

Audrey Borkey Torrence passed away on November 4, 2023 at the age of 100.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon W. Torrence, her parents, Cecil and Clarice Borkey, a sister, Mitzi Yundt and two brothers, Cecil and Walter Borkey. She is survived by one son Gordon W. Torrence, Jr.
She was a graduate of Caroline High School in 1944 at the age of 16. She next attended Pan American Business School and worked for the U. S. government for several years after graduation. Next taking a job with the Virginia Department of Highways with which she served 46 years, 9 months retiring on November 1, 1991. Then a final 2 years with State Farm Insurance before again retiring.
She was a lifelong member of Calvary Baptist Church joining in 1935 making her one of the oldest members of the church. Her hobbies included playing bridge (64 Years), cooking for friends, “Curves” and her needlepoint.
