Carol Jean Stiles, 86, peacefully passed away on April 25, 2024, to be reunited with her Lord.

Jean found immense joy in the serenity of the beach, particularly her beloved Colonial Beach, where she spent many cherished moments with family and friends. She enjoyed traveling around town in her trusty golf cart named “Freedom”. Jean had a green thumb and took great pride in her gardening skills, cultivating both vibrant flowers and bountiful vegetables. She was very active and especially loved her “Golden Girls”, a vibrant group where she found companionship and laughter. In her leisure time, Jean enjoyed crocheting and treasured the camaraderie of her sewing group.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Bob Stiles; parents, Delmar & Gertrude Jones; and her five siblings.

Jean leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth, cherished by her daughters: Dena Jean Jernigan, Evelyn Marie Duggan, Tammy Ritchie; step-sons, Doug Stiles and Larry Stiles; adopted daughters, Brenda Hulvey, Rosa Bare, and Pam Peck; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and her beloved cat, Cricket.

A memorial service will be held from 6-8pm on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at the family residence.
