Michael D. Cote, 61 of King George passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 5, 2024. Born in Alexandria, Mike was employed at Quantico Marine Corps Base. He graduated from King George High School in 1980 and was a standout athlete. Following high school, Mike served in the United States Army and worked for a time at Fort A.P. Hill. Survivors include his son, with whom he had a special bond, Michael D. Cote II (Erin); his grandson, Cooper Cote; a number of relatives including a devoted cousin, Dawn Valenzuela (Joe); his partner who he deeply cared about, Amy Parker; his former wife and friend, Sheila Brabant Branich and a host of friends in King George and Johnson City, Tennessee, whom he considered family. The family will receive friends and celebrate his life on Friday, May 10^th from 5:00 – 7:00pm at the King George chapel of Storke Funeral Home.
