I had the distinct honor of serving with Ron in G-3/5/7, HQs, Department of the Army conducting Army Force Management. He was an outstanding friend, mentor, father, husband and Army Ranger! I had the honor of driving Ron home safe and sound on 9/11 to Dabney and we had the best PB&J sandwiches ever! After retiring, Ron and I met frequently at Bob Evans and solved all the world’s problems over pancakes and coffee He is an American hero and is truly missed! Our sincere condolences to Dabney and his great family. May God bless! Bob and Ann Seaver

We have lost a hero and a patriot! I served for then Major Ron Leonard when he was the S-3 of the 1/504 PIR at Fort Bragg, NC. To me he was a "giant among giants"! A leader, coach, mentor who always led by personal, inspirational example. We stayed "in touch" over the years through family and friends, but not as much as I should have. Agnes and I are deeply saddened by his loss. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Dabney and the family. May he rest in peace and in the words of the USMA Alma Mater - "May it be said, "Well Done"! Be thou at peace." God bless Colonel Ron Leonard!

I served with Ron at the Florida Ranger Camp 1969 thru 1970. He was one of the best ones and I admired him greatly. I was at his induction into the RHOF. It was good to see him again. May God Bless his family. With warm regards, Jim Fayssoux
