Glenn Robert Seeley

January 9, 1955 - October 4, 2023

A celebration of life will be held at a future date. Memorials can be made to the Presbyterian Church of the Covenant, 118 West Manchester Road, Spring Lake, NC  28390.

After a courageous fight, on October 4th, 2023, Glenn was called by his many fur babies to cross the rainbow bridge and join them.  He was greeted by Dee, Dutchess, Ms. Bea, Bud Dog, Molly, and Jake, all of which were so excited to see him.   He was a member of the Presbyterian Church of the Covenant in Spring Lake, NC.

He was preceded in death by his father Robert F. Seeley and mother Isabelle Darden Seeley of Spring Lake, NC, and his brother-in-law Marvin T. Montgomery of Raeford, NC.  He is survived by his sister Beverly Seeley Montgomery of Raeford, NC, his Aunt Iris Darden of Spring Lake, NC, his much-loved friends Johnny and Lori Bryd of Broadway, NC, Dana Gardner of King George, VA, many cousins and his beloved chocolate lab and constant companion Charley.

Glenn was born in Paris, France where he spent his first seven years.  When he returned with his parents to the United States, he could not under why his friends has such strange first names-he was used to Jacque and Pierre not Mark and Larry.

His family moved from NC to Richmond, VA where he attended Manchester High School and played on the football team.  He made lifelong friends while in high school.  He attended Ferrum Junior College and University of Richmond where he continued to play football until he sustained a knee injury.

He lived and worked in the Williamsburg and Fredericksburg area until he returned home to North Carolina to be near his parents and sister.   He and his late brother-in-law Marvin went to get their NC contractor’s license and he met Ali Shahbaz who was the brother he never had.  Glenn eventually got his real estate license and started a successful career as a real estate broker.
