I’m thankful to have known Jean Marie. She was a true Virginia lady and so very kind. I will never forget her friendship and devotion to my godmother, Mary Lou Davies. An angel on earth has now joined the heavenly host.

Jean Marie was the very definition of a Southern Belle... one of the last of a breed defined by style, kindness, maternal love, manners and poise. She kept her home and gardens immaculate and welcoming. My family spent many weekends with the Edwards family and I have many fond memories of their friendship and generosity. Willie and Jean Marie were virtually a second set of grandparents to my children. Jean Marie often reverted to her teaching background to share her knowledge and experience with my children. She was so proud of her family and seemed to love a house buzzing with activity. This was truly a life well lived and I take comfort in the knowledge she and Willie are together again.
