Judith “Judy” Durrett (Crabtree) Richardson, 80 of Ruther Glen passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at her home. Born in Richmond, she was the daughter of the late Jeter and Mildred Durrett. Students will remember her as a longtime school bus driver and cafeteria worker at Ladysmith Elementary School. Judy also worked at Caroline Market and finally driving a transport van for the RACSB. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Marvin Richardson; her daughters, Cindy Durrette (Thurmond), Michelle Thornburg and Roxanne Crabtree; her sisters, Barbara Bylilly and Polly Durrett; one foster brother, John Childress; two granddaughters, Ashley Durrette (Wayne) and Kayla Durrette (Nick); one great grandson, Jathan Christopher and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her brother, Buster Durrett; her sister, Ellen Thomas and her son in law, Robert Thornburg. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, November 4^th at 2:00pm at her home, 9177 Floyd Madison Dr. Ruther Glen VA.
