Adelheid “Heidi” Katherine Schlezak Baranyos

December 7, 1929 - December 6, 2022

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at St. Anselm Catholic Church, 12670 Dunks Ferry Road, Philadelphia, PA 19154, where the family will receive friends from 10 AM – 11 AM. 

Interment will follow at 1:00 PM at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 3301 W. Cheltenham Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19150. 

Adelheid “Heidi” Katherine Schlezak Baranyos, 92, of King George, VA, formerly of Philadelphia, PA passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2022.  She was born in Hungary, daughter of the late Ference Schlezak and Katherine Kluwich Schlezak, and immigrated to the United States in 1950. Heidi was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in King George, VA. She was an avid gardener and loved being outdoors tending to her flowers and plants. When she wasn’t gardening, she was taking care of and keeping her home to include sewing and baking. She also enjoyed being a “photographer” and taking pictures of her family.

Heidi was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Stefan Baranyos who died in 1991, and her brother Frank Schlezak.

She is survived by a daughter, Betty (Elizabeth) Wilfong (Dennis Wilfong) and their son, Dennis Andrew Wilfong; a daughter, Dr. Katherine Quartuccio (Dr. John Quartuccio) and their children, Jacob Quartuccio, James Quartuccio (Hannah), Elyse Quartuccio Crawford (Matthew Crawford); and 4 great-grandchildren, Camden, Niko, Levi, and Isla Quartuccio.

Cheltenham Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19150.  Pallbearers: Dennis Wilfong, Dennis Andrew Wilfong, John Quartuccio, Jake Quartuccio, James Quartuccio, and Matthew Crawford.
