Alberta Campbell Baylor, 82, of King George, VA, affectionately known as Nanny to all who loved her, passed away on October 21, 2023. She was also lovingly referred to as The General, a testament to her strength and resilience. Mrs. Baylor was the rock of the family, her presence grounding and comforting to everyone she knew.

She had a passion for black and white Western movies, with Gunsmoke being a particular favorite. Mrs. Baylor had an impeccable taste for shopping, especially when it came to rugs, lamps, and vases. Her green thumb was evident in her beautiful garden, a testament to her love for nature and her devotion to her flowers. Despite her petite and quiet demeanor, she possessed a remarkable inner strength and was truly a spiffy lady.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ferman Baylor; her parents, David & Bernice Campbell; sons, Ferman Baylor, Jr. and Ronald Baylor; daughter, Sheryl Baylor; son-in-law, Everett Berkley; three brothers, two sisters, and a granddaughter.

Survivors include her children, Larry Baylor, Delphine Berkley, Jeffrey Baylor, Quinton Baylor, Pam Shelton, Sharon Baylor, Vicki Hill (Henry), Troy Baylor (Cindy), and David Baylor; sisters, Josephine Campbell, Ethel Scott, and Laura Harvey; ten grandchildren; two great-grandsons; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 11am Thursday, October 26, 2023 at Storke Funeral Home, King George.
