Mrs. Ann “Nanny” Marie Harmeyer of Williamsburg, VA passed away on July 27, 2022 at the age of 87.

Ann was born in Brooklyn, NY on December 7, 1934, daughter of the late Salvatore and Pauling Leocata. She was a surviving widow of Robert T. Harmeyer. She is survived by her Daughter Deborah Elizabeth Ann Castagna and her husband John Castagna Jr.; Grandchildren Nicole E. Bunch and her husband Robert E. Bunch Jr. and Jessica A. Castagna; Great – Grandchildren Adrianna M. Lewis and her husband Devon C. Lewis, Nicholas J. Castagna, Robert T. Castagna, Emilee N. Bunch and Deborah M. Castagna and a Great Great-Granddaughter Taelynne M. Lewis.

Ann was a devout Catholic and member of Ascension of Our Lord Byzantine Catholic Church in Williamsburg, VA. She embraced life to the fullest and lived her life caring for her family and friends. Ann was a member of The Red Hats Society and The Garden Club. She enjoyed shopping, cooking, and baking with her family and visiting friends. She also had many hobbies such as Bingo, Mahjong, Crocheting, Wii Bowling, and many card games. Nanny will always have a special place in our hearts and forever be in our thoughts and prayers.

A visitation will be held 6-8 pm Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Storke Funeral Home, 111 S Main St, Bowling Green, VA 22427. A visitation will be held 12 noon at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The Entombment  will be held 1 pm Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, 4569 Shoulders Hill Rd, Suffolk, VA 23435.

Flowers will be accepted at Storke Funeral Home, and in lieu of flowers, monetary contributions may be made to Woodland Farms, c/o Deborah Castagna, 10151 Ridgefield Road, Ruther Glen, VA 22546.
