Bettie Joe Bourne, 74, of Caret, passed away unexpectedly on February 20, 2024. Known for her quick wit, positive outlook, and colorful one-liners, Bettie brought joy, comfort, and laughter to all who knew her. She had a passion for the Virginia lottery and was a dedicated player. Additionally, Bettie’s fondness for Tweety Bird was unmistakable, evident in her extensive collection of Tweety decor. Bettie cherished spending time with her beloved Yorkies, Sophie and Runt, and enjoyed watching her favorite television shows, often referred to as her “stories”. Bettie also had a well known mischievous side and loved nothing more than spending time with and teasing her beloved husband, Arthur, whom she adored dearly.

Bettie is survived by her devoted husband, and love of her life, Arthur Bourne, Sr.; loving daughter, Auna Burrell (Joshua); step-children, Arthur Bourne Jr. (Melissa), Dennis Bourne, Tony Bourne, Cathy Hoffman, Michael Bourne; sister, Minnie “Nancy” Pacaccio; grandchildren, Halley Zoglman, Malia Zoglman, and Ravay Zoglman; step-grandchildren, Arthur Bourne III, Kayleigh Bourne, Kiersten Bourne, and Cassandra Shay; as well as three step-great-grandsons.

At this time, no services will be held.
