Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at 2:00 pm in the King George Storke Funeral Home chapel. The family will be receiving friends to help celebrate Carol’s life and memory, starting at 1:00 p.m. the day of the funeral service. 

Carol Lee Husband of Colonial Beach Virginia passed away peacefully on Tuesday December 5, 2023 surrounded by the love of her family. She was 83 years young. Carol was a devoted homemaker, mother and grandmother. As the matriarch, Carol always ensured that anyone who entered her home was treated as a member of the family. She was quick with a joke or a laugh, always kept an open ear for anyone who wanted to stop by and chat, and always had a plethora of snacks ready for the neighborhood kids and grandkids. Carol was predeceased by her mother Camella Marie Annunziata Shaffer, her father Gordon Franklin Shaffer, Sr., her sister Mary Ann Shaffer D’Angelo, her brother Gordon Franklin Shaffer Jr., her nephew’s Joseph Shaffer and Joseph D’Angelo, her daughter Deborah Husband Beall, and her son-in-law Albert “Sonny” Beall. She is survived by her sister-in-law Mary Shaffer, her daughter Cynthia Husband Gordon (Stoney); her grandchildren Troy Parlett (Amber), Tara Wright (Joshua), Tanya Negahnquet (Tommy), Michael Beall, Brittany Lozupone (Brendan) and Caitlin Mohler (Hunter) ; her great-grandchildren Nick Wright, Jonathan Oxenham, Anastasia Harrower, Brandon Parlett, Alexis Negahnquet, Trenton Phillips, Zehner Negahnquet, Camden Negahnquet,  Angela Parlett, Jesse Brock, Rogan Negahnquet, Riley Beall, Bryson Beall, Raegan Lozupone, Carter Mohler, Berkley Negahnquet; her great-great granddaughter Isabella Oxenham and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
