Charles Douglas Pitts, 74, of Woodford, died Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents. He owned Pitts Lawn Care and he loved Nascar, golf and hunting. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Stanley Pitts; two step-daughters, Cindy Willis (Steve) and Cathy Kniefel (Mark); a step-son, Thomas Thacker (Bonnie); two sons, C. D. Pitts and Stephen Pitts; two brothers, Earl Pitts, Jr.  and Elwood Pitts; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 1 PM Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Hopewell United Methodist Church, 12018 Guinea Drive, Woodford, VA. 22580. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Hopewell Unted Methodist Church, 12018 Guinea Drive, Woodford, VA 22580.   Family and friends will always remember him for his favorite saying:  “I’m a man who knows a little bit about everything.”
