Charles’s life will be celebrated at 11am on Friday, February 17th, 2023 at Wright’s Chapel United Methodist Church, 8063 Ladysmith Rd, Ruther Glen, VA 22546.
The family appreciates any memorial contributions in celebration of the beautiful life that Charles lived to be made to Wright’s Chapel or Mary Washington Hospice.

Lots of positive comments are appropriate in remembering Charlie Shewbridge. We worked together for several years in the menswear business (The Stag Shops) in Arlington VA in the early 1970’s. Charlie was a hard worker and knowledgeable in his craft. He also was a gregarious “character” to say the least. He was always a strong family man! Charlie and I both grew up in Winchester and attended Handley High School there. We had a shared history in the menswear clothing industry … where he had great success. He had a natural selling spirit and was proven leader. His personality could fill a room. He aLways greeted you with a smile and a clever remark … a true America Original who will be missed.
