Clarice D. Henderson (Lita) , age 94 died on May 27, 2022 in Norfolk, VA.

Mrs. Henderson is survived by her daughter Christa C. Paulosky, of Suffolk, VA; her sister Alice Joye Scott of Charlottesville, VA; and her grandsons Richmond Pratt Letterio and Vincent James Letterio, Jr, of Virginia Beach, VA.  She is preceded in death by her husband Vernon Douglas Henderson, Sr , of King George VA; her sons Vernon Douglas Henderson, Jr. and Dennis Pratt Henderson; her siblings William Benton Dennis, Jr., Ruth Virginia Beddingfield, Thomas Jackson Dennis, Warren Emerson Dennis, Gloria Viola Osteen, Colleen Hope Lewis and Richard Conway Dennis

Mrs. Henderson was born on November 2, 1927 in Hagerstown, MD to parents William Benton Dennis and Alice Viola Dennis.  She graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in Nursing.  She practiced nursing in a few hospitals and settled in a career working as a pediatric nurse in the office of Dr. Frederic Phillps in Fredericksburg, VA.  After retiring from that position, she worked for Heritage Hall nursing home in King George until the mid-80s.

Mrs. Henderson was a great family woman and a loving mother. She married Vernon D. Henderson in 1956.They resided in Alexandria, VA after marrying and moved to King George, VA in the early 60s.

A visitation and viewing is scheduled for Mrs. Henderson on June 8, 2022 at 11am, at Storke Funeral Home in King George, VA with a graveside service to follow at 12:30pm at Potomac Baptist Church in King George, VA.  Dr. J.
