Colleen Ann Hauser passed away on Tuesday, 11/8/22, at home in King George, VA.

Colleen was born and grew up in South Plainfield, NJ.  She was married to Robert C. Hauser until his passing in 2002.  She remarried to Randall J Kresge of PA in 2013 and relocated to PA and in 2020, the couple relocated to King George, VA, after retirement.

Colleen was active in the NJ National Guard for 10 years and worked in the insurance industry for 20+ years before transitioning to teaching.  She retired as a special education instructor after serving in the Elizabeth, NJ school district and later in several school districts in PA.

Her favorite hobbies were traveling, camping and kayaking with her husband, friends and family.  She especially enjoyed meeting new friends wherever she traveled.  She was active in Habitat for Humanity, having participated in “builds” in Vietnam and Guatemala along with several “builds” in PA and VA.  She was an active member of the choir at the Dahlgren United Methodist Church in King George.

Colleen is survived by her husband, Randy, and her two children, Shannon E. Hauser, and Timothy J. Hauser, and her grandson, Robert D. Hauser.

A private memorial is planned at a special, favorite location on the Eastern Shore at an undetermined date.  Family requests that in lieu of flowers, that friends and family consider remembering her by making donations to the Habitat for Humanity chapter of their choice or to the PanCAN organization which is dedicated to furthering research into early detection and treatment of pancreatic cancer.

She is sorely missed!
