David John Thompson, 64, of King George, VA passed away on January 14th, 2023. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 21st from 11am -1pm at Storke Funeral Home in King George followed by a service.

David was born and grew up on Long Island, New York. He relocated to King George in 1989 to provide a better life for his family.  David spent the next 22 years in King George where he was able to watch all three of his daughters graduate from King George High School.  In addition to chaperoning all the school dances, David also served on the school board and was a member of the Dahlgren Yacht club.  David spread his wings and worked in several different states including New Jersey, Georgia, and Florida, until finally settling back in Virginia to be closer to his daughters. Ironically, he ended up back in King George where he raised his three daughters.

David enjoyed fishing, antique cars, motorcycles, math/science/all things nerdy, rhinos, Boston Terriers, New York Style Pizza, pistachio ice cream, Italian food, and embarrassing his daughters.  You could always count on David to make you smile and laugh as well as lend you a hand whenever you needed it.

He is preceded in death by his father, Daniel Thompson, his brother Daniel Thompson Jr, and his sister Gail Honig. He leaves behind his mother, Anne Thompson, his brother, Robert Thompson, his sister Peggy Stattel, his  three daughters, Candace Maclauchlan, Angelica Snyder, and Nicolette Drescher, his two granddaughters Madison Maclauchlan and Emily Maclauchlan, his two grandsons Zuko Drescher and Miles Drescher.
