Donald Eugene “Gene” Hudson, Jr. 50 of King George County, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at his home, after a brief battle with cancer. Gene was born April 12, 1972 in Brookesville, Florida to Donald Eugene Hudson, Sr. and Karen Louise Angel Hudson. He was a graduate of McDonough High School class of 1992. After high school, Gene joined the United States Army and served his country in Afghanistan. Gene was an auto mechanic by trade, he enjoyed working on and fixing cars and motorcycles, and he loved being on the water. Gene also enjoyed riding his motorcycle with his wife Lori. His favorite thing was to raise money for veterans and those less fortunate by participating in various “poker runs” around the area.

Gene is survived by his wife Lori Ann Hudson, father Donald Hudson, Sr. of Lynchburg, VA, 2 daughters, Jessica Ann Marie Stinnett (Tom) of LaPlata, MD and Jonie Renee Ferrence (Cody) of Indianhead, MD, 3 sisters Diane Hudson and Donna Hudson both of Madison Heights, VA, and Lisa Hudson of Lynchburg, VA, a brother, Donnie Hudson II of Madison Heights, VA, 11 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother Karen, and a brother Chris Dale.

A celebration of Gene’s life will be held at a later date.
