Emmett Thomas “Tom” Pitts
June 15, 1936 - December 13, 2022
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Rappahannock Baptist Church, 9981 Newland Rd, Warsaw VA 22572, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Emmett Thomas “Tom” Pitts, Jr. 86, of Montross, VA passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at his home. Tom was born June 15, 1936 in Leedstown, Westmoreland County, VA to the late Emmett Thomas Pitts, Sr. and Celeste Mabel Barker Pitts. Tom served his country in the United States Army in Korea. He owned and operated P & P Towing since 1982. Tom enjoyed working and he spent his life doing what he enjoyed. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of over 56 years, Eloise T. Windsor Pitts, a son, Thomas Mark Pitts, a daughter, Regina Ann Pitts, a brother, Kenneth Pitts, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, David, Earl, and Paul Pitts, and his two sisters, Peggy Chatham and Pauline Carlson.
