Ervin Thomas Wible, Jr., 79, of Colonial Beach, passed away on Tuesday, March 29^th, 2022. 

Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Ervin and Johanna Schlear Wible.  He married Anna (Anne) Bretschneider on May 5, 1961 and they moved to Fredericksburg, VA in 1979.  Ervin and Anne lived a happy retirement life until she passed away on June 6^th, 2010.  Ervin married Cheryl Wible in 2012 and they shared many great memories together.   

Ervin was a dedicated family man who had an entrepreneurial spirit.  He was one of the first distributors to bring Herr’s potato chips to the DC-MD-VA area in 1978, he also worked for other distributors like Coca Cola and Archway Cookies.  Ervin was one of the first Subway Franchisees in Fredericksburg, VA starting in 1984.  He also worked at the Fredericksburg Auto Auction after retiring from Subway.

Ervin was also an accomplished musician playing the keyboards and accordion in string bands in Philadelphia and various “gigs” as a one man show and as part of various ensembles to entertain friends and retirement communities.

Ervin is preceded in death by his parents, wife Anna Wible and grandson Ervin T. Wible IV.  He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Cheryl Wible; his children son Ervin T. Wible III (Ginger), daughter Debbie Henderson (Kenny), son Larry (Jennifer) and daughter Brenda Henderson (James).  Grandchildren Kim Cook (Jason), Kenny Henderson (Ashley), John Mills (Alyssa), Jason Mills (Heather), Britney Wible Sullivan, Lauren Wible, Kevin Henderson (Heather), Kyle Henderson (Ashlynn), Jessica Gibson, Justin Gibson, Matthew Henderson, Lanie Henderson and John Gibson.  He is survived by 8 great-grandchildren.   He is survived by his brother, Thomas Wible (Theresa), nephew Raymond and many other cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.  Ervin is also survived by Cheryl’s children Janine, David, Sandy and Carrie, and 8 grandchildren. 

There will be a private family burial on Saturday, April 9^th at Sunset Memorial Gardens.  A celebration of life will follow at Fraternal Order of the Eagles, 21 Cool Springs Rd, Fredericksburg, VA 22405 at 2pm.  Friends and family are all welcome.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #4123, 21 Cool Springs Road, Fredericksburg, VA 22405.
