Evelyn Beazley “E.B.” Brooks, 88 of Bowling Green passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 in Mary Washington Hospital. Born in Richmond, she was the widow of Oliver Perry Brooks and a member of Salem Baptist Church in Sparta. E.B. retired after 34 years of service with the telephone company in Bowling Green as the Business Office Supervisor. She started with Tidewater Telephone Company, then it became Continental Telephone Company and finally Contel. After retirement, she worked another 20 years at the Rite Aid Store in Bowling Green. She is survived by her two daughters, Kimberley Brooks and Jacqueline Coleman (Matthew); three sisters, Pauline Gayle, Margaret Watts and Susie Whitbeck; two grandchildren, Benjamin and Madison Coleman and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Bowling Green chapel of Storke Funeral Home on Monday, May 30^th from 6:00 – 8:00pm. A funeral will be held on Tuesday in the funeral home chapel at 2:00pm, with Rev. Kevin James officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
