Gregg A. Goodner of Colonial Beach, VA passed away peacefully at his residence on September 30, 2022 at the age of 67. He was the son of the late Roberta Goodner (Mother) and Robert Goodner (Father).  He is also preceded in death by his Sister, Diane Shackford and Brother, Steve Hiltner.

Gregg is survived by his Mother Shirley Goodner, and Brother Mike Hiltner (both reside in Michigan).    ‘Papa Gregg’, as he was affectionately known, leaves behind the love of his life for over 47 Years, Camille ‘Cami’ Goodner.  The two of them had two daughters, Brandy Davis (Brian) and Staci Goodner who will carry on Papa Gregg’s devotion for loving and caring for others.  He had one granddaughter who was his shining light, Mackenzie ‘Mac’ Davis.

He also leaves behind lifelong friends, cousins, nieces, nephews and many extended family members.

Gregg was a United States Air Force and United States Navy veteran who retired after 20 years of Honorable service.  Following military retirement he worked many years in Dahlgren where he gained many lifelong friendships.  In his off time, he was a computer game enthusiast who enjoyed his late night snacks of ice cream sandwiches and sausage biscuits and of course a full cup of coffee. But more than anything he loved his family time, and he loved nothing more than attending any and all events that involved his granddaughter, Mackenzie.

The family of Gregg would like to extend a sincere thank you to At Home Care – Hospice and their amazing team that have provided quality care and support.
