James L. “Jimmy” Thomas, 77, of Ruther Glen passed away on Friday, August 2, 2019, at his home. He had retired as a body and fender technician with Purvis Ford after many years.
He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 55 years, Jean Anne Thomas; three children, Bridget Austin, James L. Thomas, Jr. and Anthony W. Thomas; his grandchildren, Christopher Thomas (who he raised as a son), Shannon Thomas, Brian Austin and Luke Thomas; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Ellen Satterwhite, Robin Wright and Elizabeth Jenkins and one brother, Curtis Thomas. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Melissa Thomas, and his siblings, Buddy Thomas, Willie Thomas, and Sue Wiener.
His wishes were to be cremated and a memorial service will be held Saturday, August 31st at 2:00 PM at Ruther Glen Kingdom Hall, 20402 Rodgers Clark Blvd. Ruther Glen, VA 22546 with Gordon Clinger as speaker. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.storkefuneralhome.com.
