James W. Allison, Jr., 84, of King George, passed away on March 24, 2024.
Affectionately known as Pop, Mr. Allison enjoyed a life filled with simple pleasures: cutting grass, playing horseshoes, drinking coffee, watching Western movies, and enjoyed handing out chewing gum to the grandkids. He was known for his warmth and friendliness, never failing to strike up a conversation with anyone he encountered. Throughout his career, he forged countless friendships and left a lasting impact on all who knew him. A masterful storyteller, Mr. Allison had a unique knack for bringing joy and laughter to those around him, and he never lost an arm wrestling match, much to the amusement of his loved ones.
Mr. Allison is preceded in death by his daughter, Carolyn.
Mr. Allison is survived by his wife, Jeanette; children, Jimmy, Wanda, Judy, Brenda, and Betty; brother, Roy; multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a myriad of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
