Jim Dempsey Meadows, 76, of Partlow died peacefully Friday, March 24, 2023 at his home. Jim was the husband of Frances Stanley Meadows for 28 years. Jim was a veteran of the U. S. Army and was employed at Naval Research Lab in Washington, D. C. for 30 years. He retired from Spotsylvania County in Water Maintenance. He was the son of the late Champ B. and Darcas Meadows and was preceded in death by brothers, Carl R. of Gloucester and David of Maryland and a sister, Lisa of Maryland.  Survivors include his sister, Linda Hornby of South Carolina; his son, John (Nicole); daughters, Anne Marie Meadows, Catherine (Pablo)Rios and Angie Burnell (Brian); four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 12:00 pm Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at 2:30 Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at Quantico National Cemetery.   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Spotsylvania County Rescue Squad.
