June C. Satterwhite, 80, of Milford, VA passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at her home. June was born June 1, 1941 to the late Robert Douglas Cooper and Evelyn Louise Mundie Cooper. She was an active member of Salem Baptist Church, and spent many years singing in the church choir at Bowling Green Baptist Church. June was also a volunteer member of the Bowling Green Rescue Squad. She was a second mother to many children at her daycare center, most of whom are adults now. In her spare time, June loved to cook and spend time with her family. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, traveling to different places and camping.

June is survived by her husband of 61 years, James E. Satterwhite; 3 children, James Douglas Satterwhite (Teresa), Jeffrey Satterwhite (Jae Ward), Jason Satterwhite (Brooke); 7 grandchildren, Megan Satterwhite (Brandon Samuel), Logan Satterwhite (Peyton), Mallory Ganoe (Matt), Lyndsay Hagedorn (Rob), Brandon Ward (Danielle), Leyton and Reid Satterwhite; 9 great grandchildren, Avery Grace, Eli, Olivia, Aubrey, Crawford, Sullivan, Shepherd, Mason and Raegan. June was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, R.D. Cooper.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at Storke Funeral Home, 111 S. Main Street, Bowling Green, VA 22427, where the family will receive friends the evening before from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, March 14, 2022.
