Kelly Green, 90, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, September 5, 2023.  Son of the late John P Green and Sissie Loving Green, he lived most of his life in King George, VA with the exception of two years when he was stationed at Ft. Lewis in Tacoma, WA while serving in the United States Army.

Kelly loved to travel and held a special place in his heart for Dayton Beach, FL. where he and his family vacationed every June for over 20 years.

Kelly was an avid hunter and loved to work his annual vegetable garden.  Kelly had a love for NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt and he loved Washington Redskins football.  He was a life member of the King George Volunteer Fire Department and a life member of Round Hill Baptist Church where he was a deacon and served on several committees.  Kelly was affectionately known around town as the “hot dog” man because he volunteered as a member of the Quarterback Club and could be found most Friday nights in the fall working the concession stand for our King George Foxes football games.

In addition to his parents, Kelly was predeceased by his wife of 54 years Mary Virginia Green and their son Michael Green.

He is survived by his beloved children Thomas Green, Kelly D Green (Linda), Kenneth Green (Elizabeth); granddaughter Christina Peyton (Lance) and many other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family members.

The family would like to thank At Home Comfort for providing Kelly with the care he needed in his final days.  We would also like to extend a special thank you to Ray Espititee, who always went above and beyond to ensure Kelly was well taken care of.
