Kenneth Jay “K.J.” Greer, Jr., age 44 of Beaverdam passed on from this life on Sunday, December 17, 2023, in Richmond, VA. K.J. graduated from Caroline High School in 1997 and Hargrave Military Academy in 1998. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Business at Marshall University in 2003 after receiving a scholarship to play football. Most recently, K.J. operated his own business, Splash Pool Services. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his family and friends. K.J. was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth J. Greer, Sr. in 2018.  He is survived by his mother, Linda C. Greer; his sister, Melanie G. Hicks (Scott); his brother, Brandon Greer (Melanie); his niece, Gracie Greer; his nephews, Matthew Hicks (Katy), Manley Hicks, Alex Greer; as well as a host of lifelong friends and teammates.  A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 22nd at 3:00 p.m., with visitation one-hour prior at 2:00 p.m., at Beaverdam Baptist Church 19110 Beaver Dam Road, Beaverdam. Following the service, the burial and reception will take place at Riverside Baptist Church 20057 Teman Road Beaverdam VA 23015. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Riverside Baptist Church.
