If you knew Martha you had a good friend. I lived across the street from Martha She kept her horses on the front of my land. Every time I saw her we would talk about a hour. I will miss her. She was a loverly person. I can not believe she is gone. I will be praying for the family

I was so shocked and saddened when I hear of Martha's death. She was the first person I met when I moved to King George in 1984. Being animal crazy I went to the pound to see the animals and there she was. I actually worked for her while she was out sick and after that, we were close friends. We rescued and doctored many a critter together. We walked a horse that had colic all night signing every TV show jingle we could think of. We laughed and had great times together. We rode together at Benson Mule Days and had a great time. We would also enjoy antiquing and eating her cooking. I remember she made peanut brittle for my Mother when she lived with me after having a stroke and Ma said it was the best peanut brittle she had ever had. Martha was definitely a wiz in the kitchen too. We helped each other through some rough times and she really helped me out when I was at my lowest. Times changed and she went one way and I went another. We hadn't spoken in a few years, but I always thought about her and really missed her friendship. RIP my friend

Our families knew each other for a long time. Martha was always kind and helped me through a tough time when my mother was very ill. She will be missed.

Bonny and family...I didn't spend a lot of time with Martha but the time I did spend with her I will always cherish...she was more than met the eye..she danced to her own drum...loving and kind and compassionate. Once she became your friend she remained your friend.You knew if you ever needed her she would be there. She lived her pets and could keep you in stitches talking about their antics..RIP Martha you are loved and will be missed???❤

I met you back in 1978, where you did all the makeup for our Halloween party. Then we lost touch. Just a few years ago we reconnected. At, what is now called "The chicken and dumpling cook-off"! It wont be the same without you this year. You were one of the good ones. Your spirit will be missed to all those whose lives you touched. Rest high on that mountain sweet lady.

Martha was a great friend . She was there for me when I needed a friend . She and I rode many places together. I will never forget the night we got a bushel of crabs and a few lbs of shrimp and sit outside eating and laughing. You will be missed by many. I will miss u so much. But I know you and having a good time like you always did. Rest high on that mountain lady . You and my dad are riding all those beautiful horses together now.

We grew up together and life got in the way of always staying in touch. Will never forget Snowball, the fluffy white cat you gave Moma and Daddy(Hope and Warren). You knew their hearts were empty after their poodles died. You were so thoughtful. LaGrange Farm and family prays for you to RIP. Bless you Martha.

Martha you helped me through the darkest days of my life with our late night chats. We only need each other for a short time but you were the best friend I ever had. Now I’ll never get to come across the pond for you to show me your beloved state of Virginia. Now I’ll have to wait till we meet in Heaven.

Martha, You were a part of my life from birth. You will be greatly missed. Love you forever.
