Mary Joyce (Whittaker) Martin, 84, of Woodbridge, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2023.  She was born on December 18, 1938, in Caroline County, to the late Katie Margaret Toombs and Louis G. Whittaker.  Mary’s greatest accomplishment was being a loving wife and mother to six children.  She will be remembered for her dedication to family, her positivity, liveliness, and humor.  Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, John Randolph Martin, her daughter Mary Lynn Martin, and sisters Barbara June Ayers and Carolyn Marie Whittaker.  She is survived by her children, Linda F. Martin, Patricia A. Martin-Younger, John R. Martin, Jr., Ronald W. Martin and Timothy B. Martin; sister Shirley Eutsler; fifteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. A private family graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 13, 2023 at Green Lawn Cemetery in Bowling Green.
