Michael Andre “Mike” Blancke
August 13, 1943 - December 22, 2023
A small memorial service will be held at Colonial Beach Baptist Church, 10 Garfield Avenue, Colonial Beach, Virginia at 1:00pm on Friday, December 29, 2023. Pastor Kenneth Daniel of Colonial Beach Baptist Church will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent in Mike’s name to Colonial Beach Baptist Church, PO Box 27, Colonial Beach, VA 22443.
Michael Andre “Mike” Blancke, age 80, of Colonial Beach, Virginia, passed away on the evening of Friday, December 22, 2023. Michael was in Home Hospice Care on his final journey. He was surrounded by his family, as they each said their “good-bye’s”.
Mike is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 58 years, Lorraine H. Blancke; his two sons, who he was so proud of, Scott Michael Blancke (wife Margery) of Severna Park, Maryland and Michael Ryan Blancke (wife M. Elizabeth) of Manassas, Virginia; and precious granddaughter, Victoria Lynn Blancke of Annapolis, Maryland.
Michael A. Blancke was the son of the late Andre Joseph and Pauline Blancke of Hyattsville, Maryland. After graduation from Northwestern High School, he served in the U.S. Navy stationed in Scotland, G.B. He worked for the United States Postal Service for 30 years as a Letter Carrier in Greenbelt, Maryland. In 2005, Mike and his wife retired to their current home in Colonial Beach, Virginia.
