March 3, 1976 - August 5, 2023
A visitation will be held on Monday, August 14, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Colonial Beach Baptist Church, 10 Garfield Avenue, Colonial Beach, Virginia 22443. A prayer service will begin at 7 p.m. The family has requested casual dress. The family will host a Celebration of Life immediately following at High Tides on the Potomac.
Michael “Mike” Mothershead of Colonial Beach, Virginia passed away on August 5, 2023 at the age of 47.
Born March 3, 1976 in Prince George’s County, Maryland. He was the son of Charles “Big Ray” and Kathy Mae Mothershead and Son-in-law to Martha and Jerry Jarman.
Mike grew up in southern Maryland and attended McDonough High School. He was a paver operator by trade for over 20 years. He had a passion for detailing cars, enjoyed yard work, and telling some of the best fiction stories. He loved riding the golf cart around town and enjoyed life to the fullest by spending time with his family and cherishing every moment with his first grandbaby Kylie. His smile and infectious personality will be missed by so many.
In addition to his parents, Mike is survived by the love of his life, Nancy Miller; his three children Christina, Mikey and Garrett and his grandbaby Kylie; future son-in-law David Allison; siblings Ray Mothershead (Carrie), Theresa Gonzalez and Donna Mothershead as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
His untimely passing has left a devastating impact on the family. He had an immeasurable heart and cared deeply for those around him. Leaving a lasting impression on many lives. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the GoFundMe that was created or directly to the family to help offset the financial burden of funeral cost, pet cremation and replacing material items that were lost in the fire.
