Nancy Soaper Hayden, 69 of Bowling Green passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024 at her home. She was a loving wife and mother and well known in the Massaponax area. She had retired after 26 years of service with the Spotsylvania School System. She was a sign language interpreter and worked with the REACH Program. Nancy is survived by her husband, Darrell Hayden; three children, Christopher Hayden (Christina), Adrienne Hayden (David) and Amanda Koolhof (Michel-Lee); her mother, Ruby Soaper; her sister, Neva Mullins (Jessie); 12 grandchildren, Bailie Hayden (Jonathan Dennis), Emily Hayden, Camille Hayden, Paige Hayden, Tessa Hayden, Cooper Hayden, Lyla Hayden, Salem Hayden, Ethan Hayden, Chase Hayden, Owen Hayden and Russell Koolhof and two great grandchildren, Karter and Teagan Dennis. She was preceded in death by her father, Lynn T. “Bug” Soaper, Jr.; her brother, Ricky “Rick” Soaper and sister, Patricia “Patty K” Soaper Humphries. A service to celebrate her life will be held on Thursday, February 22^nd at 7:00pm in the Bowling Green chapel of Storke Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service. A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 26^th at 2:00pm in Sunset Memorial Garden, Fredericksburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Massaponax Baptist Church.
