Nancy Hopkins passed peacefully on July 03, 2023 surrounded by her family.

Nancy is preceded in death by her loving husband; John Allen Hopkins Sr., daughter; Lori Jean Hopkins and her parents; Lloyd Thomas and Beatrice Chole Payne.

She is survived by her son; John a. Hopkins Jr. (Darlene Hopkins), daughter Glinda Kay Hopkins (Rene Florendo), granddaughters; Allison Eshman, Christina Flaherty, Melissa Florendo, grandson; Jack Hopkins, soon to be born great-granddaughter Nora Rose Flaherty. She is also survived by her aunt Brucie Goldthorpe who was like a sister to her.

Nancy lived a good life and was a very family driven person. She made sure not to miss thanksgiving and Christmas. Nancy also made sure to be at her grandchildren’s event for school. She was also an avid listener who enjoyed the music of Elvis. She also took a liking to watching the former Washington Redskins play football now and again. Nancy also enjoyed a glass of port in the evenings.

A memorial service is scheduled on Saturday July 15, 2023 at 11am located at the Storke Funeral Home King George chapel. Interment of ashes to follow at Payne family cemetery. The family also asks in lieu of flowers donations be made to Chesapeake Hospice (https://www.hospicechesapeake.org/giving/donate-now/).

The family also invites guest to Roma pizzeria after the servicefor fellowship and a meal .
