In loving memory of Roger Lee “Boogie” Chewning Jr., 42, of Partlow, who passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2024. Roger was born in Fredericksburg, Va. A devoted father, beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend. His contagious laugh echoed through his love for NASCAR, fishing, old Ford trucks, working on motors with his father and son, mud bogging, and sharing a cold beer with close friends and family.

Survivors include his wife, Jaimie Chewning; his daughter, Allison “Sweet Pea” Chewning; his son, Roger L. “Bubba” Chewning III; his father, Roger L. Chewning Sr. (Rachel); his grandmothers, Norma Carneal and Sandy Curtis; his sisters, Iris Burke (Will), Kayla McQueen (Jason), and Kelsey Bailey; his brothers, Michael Briggs (Danette) and Matthew Williams (Leslie); and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his younger brother, Joshua Dowdy.

A graveside service will be held at Wallers Church on Saturday, February 10, at noon (12:00 PM), 2024. Join us afterward for a celebration of his life at 4525 Shepherds Hollow Partlow Va. 22534.
