November 9, 1945 - January 21, 2024

A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Friday, January 26, 2024 at Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green with Pastor Donnie Sherfey officiating. Interment at Lakewood Cemetery will immediately follow. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Rose Marie Crowell, 78, of Fredericksburg, peacefully passed away on January 21, 2024. She dedicated many years of her life as a cook at a local nursing home, retiring in 2005. Rose, affectionately known as “King” for her role as dedicated housewife, managed day-to-day tasks with grace. She was a remarkable mother who prioritized her family, demonstrating a profound and unwavering love. Rose was a woman of deep faith, and her love for God was evident to all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack Davis and Stanley Sr. & Thelma Kolpack; son, Marcus Blaine Miller; daughter, Laura June Miller; brothers, Stanley Kolpack Jr., Robert Kolpack Sr., Donald Kolpack, William Staples, Frank Staples, and James Johnson; sisters, Jeanie King and Diann Critzer; and grandchildren, Krista and Nick.

Rose is survived by her beloved husband, James “Stick” Crowell; children, Marlena Painter (Simon), Tammy Miller (Bubby Fowler), Tim Miller (Dawn), and Michael Crowell (Jennifer Healy); sisters, Jackie Davis and Deborah Kolpack DeGroat; brother, Ronald Kolpack Sr.; grandchildren, Randy (Kristin), Derick, Jordan, April, Paul, Amber (Jacob), Samantha, and Jimmy; great grandchildren, Carson, James, Ace, Rylei, Joel, Samuel, and Naomi; and beloved dog, Chloe.
