Ruth Lillian Beyer, 70, passed away on April 24, 2024.  Although she was born in Staten Island, Ruth lived the majority of her life in New Jersey.  Upon retirement, she moved to Virginia to be closer to her daughter, son-in-law, and grandson.

Ruth cherished her trips to Walt Disney World, creating decades of magical memories with family and friends at one of her favorite places to visit. She also like exploring nature trails she found throughout the East Coast and embarking on adventurous hikes at the Delaware Water Gap. She had a fondness for Atlantic City, where she reveled in the excitement of the slot machines.

Ruth also found joy in the simple pleasures of life, often spending hours walking, caring for, and playing with the family dogs and tending her garden.  She found solace and expression in drawing, particularly in capturing the essence of people and the beauty of nature in charcoal sketches. In her younger years, she enjoyed bowling and the camaraderie of the game.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond & Lillian Beyer; brother, John Beyer; and sister-in-law, Valerie Beyer.

She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Goedert; son-in-law, Brian Goedert; grandson, Victor Goedert; brother, Donald Beyer; ex-husband, Robert Nicholson; nephew, RJ Beyer; and nieces, Jillian Korkowski and Samantha Beyer.

Ruth will be cremated in Virginia.  A Celebration of Life honoring Ruth will be held at a later date in New Jersey.
