Sylvia Lee Boggs, 84, born and raised in Mathias Point of King George, VA died after a short illness on December 3, 2023. Known for her spirited personality, sharp intellect, and lack of any filters, Sylvia leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication.

Sylvia met and married the love of her life, Stearl Boggs, at a young age and enjoyed almost 55 years of wedded bliss. Sylvia worked for over 30 years as a waitress at Hillcrest Restaurant before joining her husband as partner and bookkeeper at S.A Boggs Garage. In their retirement years, Sylvia and Stearl cherished their time traveling to and from Florida, enjoying the company of fellow snowbirds.

Sylvia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Stearl Boggs; parents, Marvin & Lillian Owens; and siblings, Wallace (Pete) Owens, Juanita Gallahan, Marian Nichols, and Joan Hayden and twin great-grandson’s Tristan and Gabriel Madison.

Sylvia is survived by her only child, Sherry Eller (Charles)of Mathias Point; identical twin sister, Shirley Gonzales (Fred)of Port Richey, FL; sister, Doris Copen (Claybrooke) of King George VA; grandchildren, Andy Royer (Billie Rae) of Bumpass VA, Johnnie Madison (Kaeti) of King George VA, and Justin Schmitz (Aislinn)of Lothian MD; great-granddaughters, Brianna Madison, Catriona Madison, and Astrid Schmitz; and a host of nieces and nephews.

No services will be held. A very private memorial will take place at a later date.
