Theodore “Ted” Mills, 69 of Aylett passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 16, 2022. Born in Deposit, New York, he was formerly of Caroline and Florida. He had retired after 25 years with Verizon and was a past President of and active in the Humane Society of Caroline County. He was preceded in death by his parents Rexford Devere Mills and Helga Margot Mills of Deposit, NY. Survivors include his wife. Arlene Mills; his children, Anthony “Tony” Mills, Kimberly Joseph (Tut), Tanisha Middlebrook (Earnie) and Trina Donald (Chris); two sisters, Renee Katen and Sandra Mills; two grandchildren, Brittany S. Woolfolk and Jared D. Selph; four great grandchildren, Briya Nibblins, Aiden Selph, Bridan Woolfolk and Bri’ella Woolfolk; nieces and nephews, Raini MacGibbon “Brian”, Todd Katen, Casi Wood (Brandon); and great nieces, Rebecca Ketzak (Travis), Jacey Leigh Baudendistel, and Ava Leigh Allen. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 22^nd at 6:00pm in the Bowling Green chapel of Storke Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Caroline County.
