William Conway Jones, 75, of Ruther Glen, died Sunday, November 20, 2022 at Mary Washington Hospital. He had retired after more than 40 years as a heavy equipment operator for Martin-Marietta. For many years, he played the bass guitar for the “Country Bandit” band. He was the widow of Virginia Acors Jones. Survivors include his five children, Mary Hockaday, Michael Hockaday (Patsy), Myra Perkins(William), Connie Jones, and Crystal Martin; a sister, Virginia Barker, a brother, Joseph Jones; eleven grandchildren, and numerous great- grandchildren. A visitation will be held 11am-1 pm Sat. Nov. 26, 2022 at Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green.
