Agnes Gertrude Osborne, a native of Maryland, peacefully passed away at the age of 88 on September 20, 2023, at Heritage Hall Nursing Home. She was born on May 21, 1935, and was a cherished longtime resident of King George, Virginia.

Agnes was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her love for spending time with her family was only matched by her passion for outdoors activities, including gardening, watching NASCAR, and cheering for the Washington Commanders football team. She found joy in the company of hummingbirds and relished the tradition of cookouts with family and friends, especially during crab season. Agnes had a special affection for cows, which adorned her home and yard as decorations. Her green thumb extended to her bountiful vegetable garden, from which she enjoyed canning produce. Above all, Agnes was known for her delectable vegetable soup, a dish that earned her acclaim from everyone that tasted it.

Agnes was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rex Raymond Osborne; her parents, Louis Marshall and Catherine Thompson; as well as her siblings, Mary Ozella Thompson Lacy (Robert), Margaret Louise Thompson Bryant (Lawrence), Alice L Thompson, Catherine E. Hall (James) and Louis Marshall “Junior” Thompson Jr (Rose Lee).

She is survived by her loving sons, Rex Osborne of New Mexico, Rae Osborne (Candi) of Dade City, FL, John Osborne Sr. (Deborah) of King George, VA, Charles Osborne of Texas, Billy Osborne of Springhill, FL , and Erik Osborne of LaPlata, MD; grandsons, Joseph Osborne Jr., Brandon Osborne, John Osborne Jr. (Jessica), Daniel Osborne (Heather), Jonah Osborne, Tommy Osborne Jr., Michael Osborne; granddaughters, Tiffany Gibson (Eric), Jessica Osborne, Amanda Osborne, Krystal Osborne; great-grandchildren, Tatum Osborne, Rowen Osborne, Jonah Osborne, Rachele Gibson, Bradley Gibson, Audrey Gibson, Zelda Osborne, and Tirion Osborne; sister, Susan Mae Thompson Vallandingham (Joe) and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Storke Funeral Home, King George. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service.  Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 17 at 1:45pm at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery, 11301 Crain Hwy, Cheltenham, MD 20623.  Pallbearers will be Rae Osborne, John Osborne Sr., Billy Osborne, Erik Osborne and John Osborne Jr.
