Family will receive friends on Thursday, April 20, 2023 from 5-7pm at Storke Funeral Home, King George.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 21, 2023 at 2pm at Trinity United Methodist Church (9425 Kings Highway, King George, VA).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, PO Box 155, King George, VA 22485.

I remember her always pleasant smile and calming presence. She supported the FD well alongside Dan and Tim. The family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear ones, There are two ways of spreading light: to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it. Barbara did both. That light will continue to shine in the many lives she touched with love. Grief never ends, but it changes. It is a passage, not a place to stay. Grief is not a sign of weakness nor a lack of faith. It is the price of love. Many years ago, my father taught me that when we share our happy memories of loves ones with each other, they never really leave us. I am sure you (like me) have millions of happy memories of Barb. Share them. Laugh, cry, remember. And then smile, open your heart to others, love and go on. That is what she expects of us. Let\'s honor her in that way! Love you all! Carol Sparbel
