Everett Roger Mothershead, 64, of Colonial Beach, VA passed away unexpectedly on April 4, 2024.

As a young man, Everett joined and was baptized at Colonial Beach Baptist Church. He cherished his family deeply, especially his mom, nieces and nephews. Everett had a profound love for nature and spent many years outside working on the family farm. He was a dedicated employee first with Westmoreland State Park and later for over 25 years with the Colonial Beach Yacht Club. Everett’s unwavering passion for nature was evident, and he enjoyed watching games and movies alongside his brother, Ronnie, with whom he shared an unbreakable bond.

Everett was preceded in death by his parents, Roger & Faye Mothershead; sister, Judy Mothershead; brother, Ronald Mothershead; brothers-in-law, Mike Ford and Gary Allison.

Everett is survived by his sisters, Linda Ford and Carol Allison; nieces, Mickie Allison and Holly Mills; nephews, John Ford, Jim Allison, Forrest Allison, and Dustin Allison, and sister-in-law Sandi Mothershead.

A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Friday, April 19, 2024 at Storke Funeral Home in Colonial Beach followed by burial at Rappahannock Baptist Church cemetery in Warsaw.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Colonial Beach Rescue Squad or Oak Grove Baptist Church.  Storke Funeral Home, Colonial Beach is handling arrangements.
