I echo what others have said about Vivian. She was the nicest of nicest people and she was truly an ambassador for Christ. She never stood in judgement of others and when there was no kind word to be found she always spoke one with all sincerity. I can only imagine how lost her children and grandchildren will be for a long time to come and my heart hurts for each of you. But you know she instilled the love of God into each of you and made sure you understood that the only one who can never leave or forsake you is the Lord. I know she hated to leave you too soon, but she knew her Heavenly Father would go before and behind you. And remember that Vivians's prayers are eternal, and they will echo in God's ears until He calls you all Home. Jesus promised to bless those who mourn and maybe you feel His divine comfort at this sad time. Godspeed, Bonny Blakley Newton

Vivian was one of the nicest people I have worked with at Dahlgren. I know she will be missed. God bless her and all of your family.

To Vivian’s Family: Please accept my condolences and may God comfort all of you. Vivian and I worked together in 1973 in the Supply Department on base and became very good, bosom buddy friends. She and Stanley were newlyweds. While I transferred out of Supply, Vivian stayed and advanced to contract negotiator and eventually contracting officer. When our family dynamics changed and I moved to another command on base, we still called each other every now and then, and would see each other out in the community. We could always pick up where we left off. She is no doubt one of the nicest people I’ve ever known. So very sorry and sad she left us so soon.--Cindy
