I was very sad to learn of David’s sudden passing. We worked together at Belcan over the past few years on two challenging engineering projects. He was an energetic and competent engineer who was appreciated by his teammates. David was willing to take on new engineering challenges and apply his extensive experience to them. I got to know David personally over time and came to appreciate his friendship, and his passion for engineering, dogs, and boats. He was an integral part of our team and he will be sorely missed.

I worked with David briefly last year, and deeply enjoyed the many discussions with him on everything from dogs to motorcycles to traveling to the actual work at hand! No matter what, it was always interesting, and I am saddened to hear of the passing of this vivacious man. While David and I never met him in person (remote work!), we definitely connected. To David's family, my heartfelt condolences and prayers for you in what I can only imaging is an incredibly difficult time.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of a friend. David had the intellectual playfulness of a little kid. Nothing was impossible. I remember him bringing his cute puppies to technical meetings while we were working on projects at Belcan together. David was passionate about work and could be counted on to deliver whatever the assignment. Davids personal standards were always so high. There would never be a compromise, if he was to do something it had to be done according to his sense of quality. I particularly miss that I never got to go on his boat or play with the dogs. This world has lost a fine person.

I cannot tell you how sad I am to hear about this unexpected loss of my former brother-in-law. David left us way too soon. I was very saddened by the news of Dave’s passing. He and I met in High School and had kept in touch on and off for 50 years. Dave never stayed within the box. I don’t think he even knew a box existed. His favorite way to start a conversation was - What if….. From there, he could go anywhere. He always kept you thinking. He always seemed to be thinking on 3 plains at the same time. I was glad he was in my life and will miss him dearly. My deepest condolences to his family and to all that loved him.

I met David almost a year ago as he became part of Belcan, an engineering firm, and a member of a special team I cared about. From my exposure to David he was never shy with sharing his thoughts and opinions and was extremely tallented, both techically and intellectually. I consisdered David a unique, outspoken character. I charished my time and discussions with David and will miss him deeply. Our hats off to David and those who loved him.

David was always a joy to talk with. He was quick to keep you on your toes and provide some humor to lighten the mood when needed. RIP David! You will be truly missed!! My thoughts and prayers for peace and comfort are with the family right now.

On behalf of David's Belcan colleagues, I offer you our deepest sympathies for David's passing. We were blessed to take advantage of David's passion and keen engineering mind, and it was only a couple of weeks ago that he shared some of that wisdom with us during a lunch and learn presentation. Requiescat in pace David.

Dave and I were good friends in high school. We would all hang out in his basement, listening to music, having really deep conversations about anything and everything! He was deeply introspective and inquisitive - playing the "devil's advocate" just to get the conversation going. We would cut class and walk to his house for lunch. His mom introduced me to the tuna melt, which I love to this day. I remember he had a brown coat with an orange & brown scarf that his mom knitted for him. We would watch her make these specialty cakes with icing on the top shaped into dresses, which fascinated me. He had FABULOUS hair back then! A beautiful smile... Always talked about wanting to live on a houseboat to avoid property taxes. I think back on those days often. It's funny - the stuff you remember... Rest in peace, my good friend. I deeply regret not staying in touch but look forward to seeing you again someday. We'll talk about old times and laugh our asses off!!!
