Barbara & Family - It is saddening to hear about Spencer’s passing. I was stationed at AP Hill in the 1970s when I had the pleasure to work with Spencer and be welcomed by both of you. Spencer provided outstanding advice, a desire to teach and shared great stories. His humor and infectious smile are remembered and will be missed. May you know Spencer touched many lives in a very positive way. Also, may your many memories and good times sustain you in the days ahead. Prayers and sympathies are with all of you.

Growing up, your family was my family, as I spent much of my youth either in your house or the Medleys because of being involved with the scouts. Many a find memory. Thank You. Pam and I extend our deepest sympathies and prayers and God Bless You All. George & Pam Eakin Montgomery, Texas

Mrs. Allen and Mrs. Smith , i am so sorry for your loss. I used to look forward to his visits to the Bowling Green Library. He was always a ray of sunshine! He gave us all a nickname. Mine was "Pajama girl". Pat Lyttle was "Patty Cake" and Charlene was "Queen Charlene" He treated us not only with his presence but also with treats! I know your world will be a little darker without him in it as will the library's. Godspeed Mr. Allen? and God bless your family and friends?
